If You're Not The One

Apa yang hendak saya bahas kali ini? Pada tanggal ini, saya akan membahas tentang lagu “If You’re Not The One”-nya Daniel Bedingfield. Sebelumnya, saya akan cerita dikit darimana saya dapat lagu ini. Berawal dari sebuah tragedi (yang menurut saya naas), seorang teman mendengarkan saya tentang lagu ini.

Saya mendapat lagu ini di masjid. Menunggu waktu ashar, saya duduk di masjid. Azan berkumandang. Saya pun mengambil air wudhu dan sembahyang. Selesai sholat, seorang teman (sebutlah namanya) Kalek masuk ke masjid. Sebagai orang yang “dituakan”, aku menceritakan kejadian yang baru aku alami. Kalek hanya tersenyum. Sisi misteriusnya muncul. Ia mengambil air wudhu.

Sebelum sholat, ia memberikan handphonenya padaku dan berkata, “Tekan tombol ‘play’ sementara aku sholat. Suaranya jangan terlalu besar. Dengarkan sendiri saja.”

“Untuk apa?” Aku bertanya.

“Sebatas tes grammar. Cuma nge-check apakah kupingmu dapat menangkap kata-kata bahasa Inggris atau tidak.”

Ia segera berlalu untuk sholat. Test Listening sebuah lagu. Itukah alasannya? Aku penasaran. Kalek memang unpredictable. Segera ku tekan tombol ‘play’. Ku dengar lagu itu. Lagu berjudul “If You’re Not The One”.

Terimakasih untuk Kalek atas lagu yang diberikan. Ya. Itulah dia.   Aku menceritakan ‘hal’ tersebut kepada Kalek dan saat itu juga dia mendengarkanku sebuah lagu. Apakah Kalek sudah mengetahuinya sejak awal? Atau bagaimana?

By the way…Menurut saya, lagu If You’re Not The One itu sangat menyentuh. Mengapa? Silakan terjemahin sendiri2 sambil dengerin lagunya… hehehe
